25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Below you will find information regarding the auditions including a cast ist with roles and parts as well as a tentative rehearsal calendar. As always, if you have any questions, you can contact Mr. Ferman or Mrs. Corley.  Their info is below as well.

A note about our production and community standards:

Though we are performing the full production of Spelling Bee we will be using MTI approved alterations to the book and lyrics to accommodate our community standards. That said, if you are listening to the Original Broadway Cast recording you will hear the full lyrics with no changes. All lyrics for “Chip’s Lament” have been changed to make the song appropriate for our students and audiences.  There are many other approved changes and updates throughout the script as well. If you have questions, please contact Ferman before auditioning.

Auditions

Dates: August 26 and 27

Time: 3pm-6pm

What to prepare:

Please Choose one of the two songs below. The songs chosen are separated into Treble Voices and Tenor/Bass voices. Please choose a song appropriate for your natural singing voice.

You will be asked to Sing on the 26th, Dance and read on the 27th. 

Cast List will be posted by the end of the day on August 28th if not earlier.

The first rehearsal will be on August 29th from 3:00 - 6pm.

Location: Legacy PAC

Days: Typically, Monday through Thursday

Time 3-5:15 (Rehearsals will go until 6pm the two weeks before Tech and possibly until 7 during Tech week. See the calendar below.)
